A Modern Approach To Improve Your Eyesight - No Glasses, Contacts Or Surgery

Scientists are now finding - over the last 3 decades, that visual deterioration is in fact reversible by natural methods. To me it's a complete mystry as to why people so easily give in to the false notion that they have to wear glasses for the rest of their lives, never learning about eye exercises for myopia?

For some reason eye doctors and optometrists in the western world (and increasingly in the east) have just not subscribed to the notion that one's eyesight can be restored via natural methods. Since we are now finding more and more that the muscles inside and surrounding your eyes are dynamically involved in producing clear vision, we can surely improve our eyesight simply by strengthening these muscles. Just as the late Dr Bates - the pioneer of natural vision improvement - believed, more and more natural visual enhancement therapists are confirming that the vast majority (over three quaters) of people with visual disturbances can be cured either fully or in part, using natural techniques.

Taking the strain out of your eyes

As simple as it may sound, simply teaching your eyes to relax can have a major impact on your vision. Eye strain very quickly results in a loss of synchrony between different eye movements required in good vision. Eye strain can even occur without you noticing it - most of the time there are no symptoms in terms of feeling, you just start to notice a deterioration in your vision.

An example of an exercise you can use to take the strain away from your eyes is palming. Despite being an incredibly simple technique, palming is easily one of the most effective exercises for improving visual acuity over time. You may not see any real results right away, but if you continue with the exercise, it will help to teach your eye muscles to relax more and more throughout the day. After a few weeks of performing the exercise, you aught to notice a marked increase in your ability to see.

Below are some guidelines on how to perform the exercise:

Put your hands out in front of you with your palms facing you. Then bring your palms up to cover your eyes making sure that the hands are cupped so that they don't actually make contact with your eyes. If you do this sitting down, you may rest your elbows on a flat surface to increase comfort, so you are not straining your arms. Now you simply spend as long as you need to generate relaxing and positive thoughts. As you practise this more and more you'll notice the improvement in your vision as your eyes learn to relax throughout the entire day, even when you are not doing the exercise.
